I've been with OPS since 2012. I subbed for two years with OPS before beginning 3rd grade at Lothrop Elementary. I taught 3rd grade for 3 years and then moved to first grade. Because I have taught 3rd grade, I know what my students need to know in first grade to be successful by 3rd grade for state testing. Testing doesn't get any easier and I will have the highest expectations for my first graders. I have a son that attends Lothrop and my daughter attended Lothrop and is now at McMillan Junior High about to head to Burke next year for High School! I received my Masters in Literacy from UNO after graduating from Crieghton University with my bachelors in education. One thing to know about me is that I love animals and I love cooking. When I am not teaching, you can find me in the kitchen or out back with my dogs.

Students are expected to make growth throughout the year to get as close to proficient as possible. This goes for the social aspect (homeroom) as well as the academic aspect. Students should feel welcome and treat one another like family. Effort is required in all areas.
