I have my masters degree in Early Childhood Education.
I believe that children learn best through play. We spend the majority of our day in free play. That play is structured to meet social and academic goals! My goal is for children to leave my classroom prepared for Kindergarten with play skills, social skills and pre-academic skills.
8:45 - 9:00 – Arrival: Kids will move their name from “Home” to “School”. They may go to the restroom if needed. They will wash their hands, then they may go play with designated toys.
9:00 – 9:30 – Brain Smart Start and Greetings to dismiss to breakfast
9:30-9:40 Large Group –return to tables for writing
9:40-9:55– Circle time – morning meeting
9:55– 10:20– Outdoor Play / Gym Time
10:20– 10:35– Literature – CC Theme
10:35-10:45 – Small Groups
10:45– 12:00 – Centers / Free Choice – small

12:00 – 12:15 – Music Activity; wash and set up for lunch
12:15 – 12:45 – Lunch and tooth brushing
12:45 – 1:00 – Second Step
1:00 – 1:10– Story and get ready for rest
1:10 – 2:40 – Rest Time
2:40– 3:40 – Free Choice of Centers
3:40 – 4:05 – Outdoor Recess – get ready to go by 4:00
