Biography

Hi I'm Ms. Pietzyk!

I work with students who verify for Special Education services in Kindergarten through 4th grade at Lothrop. I mostly pull students into a small group setting outside of their classroom to work on your child's needs based off the plan that we create as a team. The areas I work on are reading, math and any social skills that need support.  I also help set your child up with accommodations that can be used inside of the classroom and collaborate with your child's classroom teacher about best ways to help your child grow.

I have been working in OPS and Lothrop since 2012. I graduated from College of Saint Mary with my Bachelor's in elementary and special education. In 2018 I graduated UNO with my Master's in Literacy, and am starting my Master's in Special Education in June.

I strive for my students to grow throughout the school year at their pace is a safe learning environment. Collaboration is important, so if you have any questions or concerns for your child always feel free to reach out to me. If you have questions about the Special Education process, you can always email or call me.
