Ember Stolze

Hello my name is Miss Stolze! I have wanted to be a teacher ever since I was little. Teaching Kindergarten is my dream job and I am so happy to pursue a career that I have so much passion for!

Teaching experience: I have been teaching kindergarten at Lothrop since August of 2015!

BA of Science in Elementary Education and Special Education from UNL

Roles held: Student Assistance Team Coordinator K-2, Co-Chair Teaching and Learning Committee, previous member of the District Early Literacy committee.

Favorite Food: mac and cheese

Favorite Children's Books: Harry Potter series, City of Ember, Dear America Series

Favorite Color: Pink

Hobbies: running (I have completed 3 half marathons!), swimming, writing, reading new books, spending time with family and friends, visiting and learning more about historical events and places!

In my classroom, students will engage in high quality purposeful play each and everyday. You will see intentional planning of literacy in numeracy in each of my play centers. Students will receive differentiated instruction each and everyday and be given the opportunity to learn in visual, kinesthetic, and auditory ways. I believe in using early childhood methods and practice in my classroom. But above all, each and every student should leave my classroom at the end of the day knowing that they are loved and valued. Happy teachers created happy classrooms, and happy classrooms create happy kids.
